We are a furniture design and manufacturing company based in Brisbane, Australia.
Mast was founded by Rory Morgan in 2012 as an exploration in design and making. He was quickly joined by his wife Kati Morgan as Mast grew into a business. In 2016, Christian Hakansson joined as a furniture maker after studying in Copenhagen, and later became a partner in the business. Chris Nicholson joined Mast in 2022 as a partner after running his own successful furniture business for eight years, he brings with him extensive knowledge and skill in product development and production.
In operation for 10+ years, we’ve built a national and international reputation for producing original furniture of the highest quality. With an in-depth knowledge of traditional woodworking techniques, combined with modern manufacturing technology, our production capabilities position us uniquely in Australia to produce high quality, technically challenging furniture.
In addition to our own range of furniture and working with Architects and Designers across Australia on residential homes, we enjoy working on select public projects. Past collaborations include the design development and production of a large suite of furniture for the Art Gallery of New South Wales. We have also produced furniture for the Australian Embassy in Washington DC, Das Haus - Cologne Germany, NGV, Triennale De Milano and the NGA.
